How did you attract your target audience?
Due to us carrying out audience interviews beforehand, we were able to see what type of things people would expect to see in an OTS. We used this to either determine whether we should use footage based on people not expecting it, or because it is what people would want to find in our opening title sequence. This was as well as carrying out a questionnaire, we did this to get a variety of answers. We discovered from this what would draw them into a horror, based on it having a death at the start. We used this footage of a dead bird to add a gloomy effect to the OTS; so the audience would expect something bad to have either happened, or will happen.
Through our google trends page, we were able to see whether people would prefer a prison based OTS, or asylum based OTS. This then helped us to attract our audience and include things which would interest them. This is because our audience are mainly those who wish to see horrors based in a form of confinement, or in the forest. If this is not the case, then hopefully others will decide they now enjoy these types of horrors.
We also attracted our audience due to it being based in a real life building or location, suggesting that it could be a type of non-fiction; persuading the audience to believe the storyline. Including the fact that ur audience are the type to enjoy it more if they believe what is on screen in front of them and setting our OTS on an asylum corresponds with potential real life situations.

Although it is short, here is a clip of how we attracted our target audience. These were interviews we carried out, with clips from our OTS and how we followed through what they would expect in a horror. Including: What they like about horror, How many bodies they would expect to see in a opening scene, What they think is a good setting for a horror, What would draw them into a horror, etc.
We used this in order to graph our OTS around their commentary. For example, setting it in a forest and due to us not including a dead 'body', we included a dead bird. This was to instill the creepy effect we were looking for, of death appearing within an asylum full of 'creepy', but alive bodies. T he location of the horror, portrays this creepiness in itself.
